living the well-read life

I write quite a bit.

A graduate of a liberal MFA program out of southern Maine, I'm passionate about meeting people of all worldviews.

I currently write for a website called "Off the Page" (see link below), a site affiliated with Our Daily Bread, a non-profit, Bible-based organization in West Michigan; I identify as a Chrsitian, and my passion for creative writing spans multiple genres and mediums. Creation is everywhere!

Beyond being a prose artist, I also make visual art, painting watercolors on commission. Please see my contact info below (bottom of the page) to talk with me about serving you in your art/writing needs and desires.

Whether looking for editorial assistance for your business' website or your online or print journal, or you just want an extra eye on your own personal endeavors, I want to help! See the links below for more examples of my work.

Off the Page

My first article for Off the Page, "Home is Not a Place," was published on June 19, 2015. Writing about my misplaced identity as a Hoosier living in Downeast Maine, I established my position as a writer obsessed with understanding community, discovering the nature of home, and living life for a greater purpose than myself.

The Moment

In 2009 I spent three months living in York, England, taking classes at YSJ University in Shakespearean literature, Media Studies, and British History. I began to take notes, publishing them in "The Moment." I wrote about: British culture, finding joy in the moment, and serving God in a world I didn't think I'd ever quite "get."
